During the 2012/13 academic year the College of Liberal Arts will search for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions in the arts, humanities and social sciences. Faculty positions will be full-time over the nine-month academic year and will begin fall semester 2013 or later.

The Department of Asian Languages and Literatures will search for a tenure-track position in Japanese literature and culture to begin fall semester 2013. Appointment will be at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor. The department seeks expertise in the analysis of Japanese literature, media, or film in the modern and/or contemporary periods.
The College of Liberal Arts is searching for a director of the Center for Austrian Studies. The successful candidate will hold an administrative appointment as director of the center, and a faculty appointment at the rank of associate professor or professor with indefinite tenure in the college.

The department seeks an exceptional physical scientist whose research is focused on terrestrial environmental change; preference will be given to candidates working on problems in paleoclimatology, climate dynamics, or ecological change. Appointment will be at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor.
